Physics is Out ...Outside

Pier 6 in Brooklyn was filled with first graders testing a variety of surfaces to find out which were easy to slide on; which were difficult.  Physics and Friction  Equals Fun. (Justin Weiner photos!)

Green Recess: Physics

First Graders are studying ramps, sliding and rolling, friction and gravity...indoors and outdoors. Outdoors the challenge is to get golf balls to move from one place to another.  Gutters and corrugated sheets of plastic are ideal ramps.   Back indoors, students make marble mazes.
