Fourth Grade historians chalk again. And something magical happened. (it often does when you work with children.) We usually go to a spot that used to be a forest 350 years ago. BUT...Rain forced us to chalk in a new place...under the train tracks. We discovered that a Lenape field was there--and kids imagined that it was filled with the 3 sister crops they had just explored: corn, beans and squash.
How amazing!
