Free Range Hens: For Real

Johanna let the hens out of the coop.

"They were so good, they just followed me around the farm and went in when it was time."

She added: "I can't believe we have never done this before."

Something to look forward to next time we farm together....

The Three Hens have a message for you:

Write back if you have time!

The hens had to use chalk.
And Johanna had to help them with the spelling.

Did you know that some animals can use typewriters to send messages?

Remote Learning Includes Green Recess

Provocation:

"Johanna gives you fabric to use during outdoor green recess.  What fun thing can you do at home with a piece of fabric, a sheet, a tablecloth, or a blanket?"

One idea is to cover two chairs with fabrics and make a tent...a cozy place to take a break.

Here is a picture of one tent.

Indoor FOREST

Johanna brought some forestry into the Pre-K classrooms.  Kids were exploring rotting logs.  (Logs were brought back outside after they investigated.)

Johanna told me they enjoyed making piles of wood chips.  I'll ask the explorers to share what they remembered.  Then I will post their memories here.
