Third Graders Flood a Little Bit of Kenya

It's the little things citizens do. That's what will make the difference. My little thing is planting trees.

As part of their study of African biomes, third graders discover Wangari Maathai's wisdom and bravery.  They see for themselves the impact of denuded grasslands when they make it rain on grass covered soil and compare it to rain on bare soil.







Getting ready to flood the plantless soil.  Most students predict a mudslide.   If variables are right, there is one!
