Bee scientist, (and BNS student Wolf's mom) Sarah Kornbluth visited all four first grade classes. It seems our farm attracts lots of insects...and both kids and adults had all kinds of questions. One of them she answered was: "What do you do when a bee buzzes around you?"
I am paraphrasing here: "Bees and other insects are looking for flowers. If they buzz around you it might be because you resemble a flower: bright colored clothing or a sweet shampoo smell might fool them at first. But if you are patient and stand still, the bees will realize you are not a flower and 'buzz' off."
Thank you Sarah!
