Veggie Soup Part 2: Dining

Cafeteria Kids

Students are working on reducing waste.

Fourth graders in Kristen's class are helping younger schoolmates compost.

Who ya gonna call?  Compost Crew!

A poster sums up what is compostable.

It seems to be working!

Students can grab a broom and dustpan to help keep their cafeteria a fine place to dine.

Thank you Farmers. Thank you Chefs.

First Graders created an informative bulletin board:

How to Make Pickled Carrots.

Start by growing carrots on the farm under a rainbow sky.

Be sure some worms are around.

Harvest the carrots.

Start cooking.

Cut carrots.

Add equal amounts of Bragg apple cider and boiling water to a jar.

Add herbs, spices, and salt.

Cover. Let cool for an hour.  Then refrigerate.
Bon Appetit!
