Fifth Graders:  Monarchs have begun to form their chrysalises on September 23, 2012...Alas...it is a Sunday.  Here is a picture.  Notice the silk.

Food Chain

Students released lady bugs hoping they would devour the aphids devouring the milkweed that we want for the monarch caterpillars to devour....

If you plant it they will come...

Monarch butterflies flocked to the milkweed in the pollinator section of the BNS garden.
And so did bees and a praying mantis and of course, BNS students.
