BNS Green CLUB Collecting and Storing Seeds

Xeta, Lola, and Remy under Johanna's supervision, are leading our fifth graders in maintaining BNS pollinator gardens.  They are busy year round...even in the winter.  They will be sending journal entries from time to time.  This is from December 2017.

Using sieves to separate seed.

Today we are separating milkweed seeds from their white fluff. We went outside and blew the fluff in the wind in front of Bill's class. *

*Heard that this created a lot of excitement.

Hen-quiry

Does a hen poop and lay eggs out of the same opening?  A first grader was motivated enough to research an answer to share with her Dad.  Here is her "report".
