Not a scientific study.  The time of year is different.  It isn't the same exact spot.  Can we be sure it is the same grass? No.  But...Well you judge for yourself.

Question:  What happens to the food compost after you put it in the bowl?

From Two Enthusiastic Kindergarteners

 

Two Hens A Layin'

 It's spring and La Rubia and Red are still producing.  

Sad News

Speckles, our beloved hen, has died of old age.  

She was found being looked over by her two flockmates:  La Rubia and Red.

2016 to 2025

Speckles was the friendliest, calmest of the three hens. 

Always willing to be held and petted.  

We will miss her.

Words of comfort from a first grader:

Speckles:  "I had a good life."
Everybody loved you.

Furniture Workshop

Pre-K students are making beds and chairs for their bears.  First Johanna (and occasionally,  some visitors) help them get some woodworking skills. 

Who came by to help?  Shirley!  

Next step:  Put the drilling, hammering, and sawing skills to work to build comfy chairs and beds for their stuffies.  Students needed no help designing a seemingly endless number of creative variations.
