What is Ecorama?

Second Graders -- kindergarteners when COVID shut down schools--had no idea what they would experience when they were told they would be spending time at ECORAMA.  Even some fifth graders forget the schoolwide June Earth Day celebration.  Here are some images that capture today's event...

What do you get when you mix Green Recess, Doug's K kids' imaginations, willing adults,  a hot day, bikes, Hispano Soap and water?  A CAR WASH.

BNS Cleans Up: Led by Fourth Graders

Combined sewer overflow...

Plastic entering our oceans...

Microplastic entering our food chain...

Big problems for kids to handle. But BNS fourth graders took action. 

They went from class to class, educating the school community about the issues.  

And they encouraged classes and teachers to Clean Up to prevent trash and plastic and other recyclables from entering the oceans.
