Furniture Workshop

Pre-K students are making beds and chairs for their bears.  First Johanna (and occasionally,  some visitors) help them get some woodworking skills.

Who came by to help?  Shirley!

Next step:  Put the drilling, hammering, and sawing skills to work to build comfy chairs and beds for their stuffies.  Students needed no help designing a seemingly endless number of creative variations.

Blanket:  stamped fabric

Students do need help from brave adults.

Check out Johanna's hands in this video.

Remembrance of Things Past

Two third graders remembered veggie soup of yesteryear...first grade.  They contacted Johanna for help in recreating the recipe.  They each took home a jar of veggie broth and a recipe.

Happpy New Year

It's 2025 and temps are really low.  Take a hint from the 3 hens: eat oatmeal to warm you up from the inside out.  Enjoy.

Arturo Quinones helped students construct a wigwam.

The plan is  to keep the wigwam up all year (weather permitting).  Stop by, admire the construction and peek in.
