Volunteers Help Care for Hens After School and on Weekends

BNS staff and families have been volunteering to check in on hens when school is not in session.

Ike and Ola Mae have done at least two tours of duty.

It pays off in more than one way.

Thanks to Green Committee member, Keri, and her son, Savion,  recycled plastic bags collected at BNS were brought to Whole Foods on 3rd Street.

Second Grade Naturalists

Second graders are spending one day, every other week, in nature. Work time outdoors. Learning to observe, sketch, question, research. In other words, being naturalists.  Here are just a few snapshots...

Trout Have Found Their Way Downstream...Again

All four fourth grade classes are raising trout again. By learning about what the trout need to survive, students will be learning about water quality and their role as environmental stewards. In March, the young trout will go back upstream...by bus...with fourth grade campers.
