Author Visit

Lisa Kahn Schnell, Author, visited all four Kindergarten classes to answer questions about horseshoe crabs.  Inquiry inspired by experiences at Shore School.







What did the students learn?  The following shows some of their take-aways.
Their beaks are long so shorebirds can get the eggs underground.
Horseshoe crab eggs are the size of a ladybug.

Horseshoe crabs don't have clothes.

Horseshoe crabs come out for two hours.
Shorebirds have super long beaks.

Horseshoe crabs come out at nighttime and inn the morning.
