First Grade Farmers Take Their Agricultural Skills to Added Value Farm in Red Hook Brooklyn

Dear Corey,

Thank you so much for such an engaging, hands-on experience on the farm today.  We truly enjoyed our day.  Doug and I loved watching our students harvest the large dandelion plants - shaking the soil from the roots while admiring their incredible tangle. And, we enjoyed seeing the students' sense of pride while pulling weeds and raking.

We can't express enough our thanks for welcoming us along with the support of your incredible volunteers who were so positive with our kids.

And thank you, too, for all the work you've done in the past year to revitalize such an important neighborhood farm. Your efforts have infused the Red Hook community with the richness of new life - radishes, squash, tomatoes, beans, and many more plants, green energy, and a farmer's market!

Thank you once again for sharing Added Value with our students and we can't wait to see you in two weeks. Have a terrific weekend!

All the best,
Bill & Doug
