2nd Grade Gets Visit From Nancye Good...

They learn that sheltering from the cold is the first priority when you are trying to survive in the wilderness.

Nancye Good will be visiting all four second grade classes.

Clothing is one kind of shelter...you can keep warm by stuffing leaves in your clothing.

That's survival monkey under the lean-to.

Nancye adds "ribs" to the structure.

Lattice is put cross-wise over the ribs to keep leaves from falling between the cracks.

Add leaves on top and create a door of leaves.
Next week 2nd graders build a child-sized lean to in the ball field.
